Rome and Athens!

From Vienna, I traveled to Athens with Unni. I travelled with him. Jo went home to Geneva.

Here I am with Unni at the Acropolis in Athens. It is a collection of very old temples and amphitheatre dedicated to Greek Gods above the city.

From Athens, we traveled to Rome.  In Rome we went to the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia and Fontana de Trevi.

The Colosseum is where the roman gladiators fought and can accommodate 50,000 people. It is in the center of Rome
The Piazza Venezia is a big square in the middle of Rome with large sculptures.  It is very beautiful in the night when the lights are on.

From the Piazza we walked to the Fontana de Trevi is the most famous fountain in the world.  There I saw many people throwing coins in to the fountain and making wishes.

On the way back from Rome, our plane (called Baboo!!!) flew over the beautiful Alps.  Here I am flying on top of Mont Blanc - the highest peak in the Alps. Mont Blanc is 15,782 feet high and the 11th highest peak in the world.  Its cold here! And true to its name the mountain stays white and snow covered throughout the year.
